Detroit— A federal judge today dismissed remaining claims in a lawsuit challenging President Barack Obama's Health Care Reform Act of 2010. U.S. District Judge George C. Steeh issued an order that dismissed four claims in a lawsuit filed by the Thomas More Law Center, a Christian public interest law firm in Ann Arbor.

The suit, like similar lawsuits across the nation, argued Congress exceeded its authority by requiring most people to obtain insurance coverage or pay a penalty by 2014.

The move comes two weeks after Steeh, appointed by former President Bill Clinton, upheld provisions of the health reform act and dismissed other claims in the suit.

The dismissal will let the law center appeal Steeh's ruling.

Law center spokesman Daniel Piedra said a notice of appeal will be filed Frid
