Share 10 Comments TRENTON — New Jersey's Supreme Court is expected to rule today on whether a citizens group has the right to try to recall U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez.

A Tea Party-inspired group says they want Menendez removed from office before his term ends because of votes the group disagrees with — including immigration and health care reform.

The Committee to Recall Robert Menendez says it should be able to proceed with the recall effort because it's not barred by the U.S. Constitution.

Lawyers for Menendez say a recall isn't allowed by the Constitution.

If a recall effort is allowed, activists would have to gather 1.3 million signatures just to get it on the ballot.
