From Liberty Pulse:
THE CONSTITUTIONAL INSURRECTION OF BARACK OBAMA

It is the biggest threat to the Supreme Court and the Constitution ( as poor as they often are at it—the court is the only significant institutional guardian of the Constitution against executive or legislative tyranny and lawlessness-- other than, in a last resort, theoretically, the military) since FDR engaged in open warfare through the court packing scheme .
Even though Roosevelt eventually backed off—the point was made, and an intimidated court got the message and fell in line , no longer questioning the constitutionality of the New Deal legislation .
Beginning with a set of decisions in March, April and May 1937 (including the Social Security Act cases, See Helving v. Davis 301 U. S. 619 ) the Court rejected a series of challenges to New Deal legislation—forever changing the Constitution, the nature of the government and America. See “The Supreme Court Reborn--The Constitutional Revolution in the Age of Roosevelt” by William Leuchtenburg
Obama set the tone last year when he publicly scolded the court, to their faces, at the State of the Union address. The nuts and bolts of constitutional insurrection have been taken up by various Progressive organizations, such as Common Cause. Unlike Roosevelt's attack on the constitution, this time the president's surrogates are using modern America's beloved reformist goo goo laws and regulations to go after individual justices.
In an historically unprecedented move, Common Cause, a mainstream liberal organization with plenty of beltway cred, is asking the Department of Justice to investigate Justices Thomas and Scalia, for behavior they claim creates “the appearance of impropriety."
Common Cause ,and other liberal groups are even making accusations that justices on the Supreme Court have engaged in a criminal conspiracy with the “vast right wing conspiracy”--which nowadays has a name—the libertarian think tanks and organizations which the Koch brothers have donated to.
James Madison would blow a gasket, and just give up, if he was to see the executive branch, under color of law, attacking the judiciary. It goes far beyond anything Roosevelt did. It is really nothing short of an insurection mounted by the imperial presidency.
Barack Obama is a very dangerous man. He should never have been allowed anywhere near the Constitution of the United States.
