Democrats Seek To Change Electoral College And Give Illegals Amnesty In Order To Maintain Power

From The American Thinker:

Democrats Seek to Change Rules of Game to Ensure Their Progressive Power

Norah Petersen,

Stealthily, Democrats are engineering changes that will ensure Democrats hold the White House from now on. Change #1:

"The Massachusetts Legislature has approved a new law intended to bypass the Electoral College system and ensure that the winner of the presidential election is determined by the national popular vote," the Boston Globe reported on Tuesday. The article further explained:

"Under the law, which was enacted by the House last week, all 12 of the state's electoral votes would be awarded to the candidate who receives the most votes nationally. Supporters are campaigning, state by state, to get such bills enacted. Once states accounting for a majority of the electoral votes (or 270 of 538) have enacted the laws, the candidate winning the most votes nationally would be assured a majority of Electoral College votes. That would hold true no matter how the other states vote and how their electoral votes are distributed.

"Illinois, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, and Washington have already approved the legislation, according to the National Popular Vote campaign's website."

Republican Richard Tisei, the Massachusetts senate minority leader and candidate for lieutenant governor said: "The thing about this that bothers me the most is it's so sneaky. This is the way that liberals do things a lot of times, very sneaky. This is sort of an end run around the Constitution."

In addition to circumventing the Constitution, this trend could facilitate an even larger impact on future elections if Democrats manage to pass change #2: "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" (a.k.a. Amnesty) in the lame duck session after the fall elections or in the next couple of years. Rush Limbaugh accurately described amnesty as "the largest voter registration drive in US history." He further explained, "The Democrats have lost millions of votes since Obama was immaculated [inaugurated]. They want to try to get some of those votes back with amnesty, one way or the other.

Republicans must be relentless in halting and reversing Democrats' ongoing attempts to change the rules of the game to ensure their Progressive power for the future. As Representative Michelle Bachmann warned, "One thing Democrats really understand is how to win elections."
